Community Support

SUPPORT

Compassion and support for one another determines a community's strength. Acknowledging and responding to those in need builds a strong and healthy community.

Overstrand Unite provides support to those in need in our community.

We also provide the opportunity for community members to support one another.

Community support is provided by offering relief in emergencies and services to those who don’t have access to resources.

RELIEF

We provide emergency relief to victims of fire, violence, and circumstance.

Whether it is distributing food, running a soup kitchen, finding specialised medical assistance, or giving someone a much-needed lift, we try to help those who have no one to turn to.

These are generally children, single unemployed mothers, and the elderly.

SERVICES

Overstrand Unite provides a range of support services to the community from mediation to labour issues to cutting through red tape, fundraising, or helping put a business plan together.

For those without access to things many of us take for granted, like data, access to a printer, airtime, and most importantly, access to accurate information, it is impossible to get ahead in life.

We assist unemployed youth, small business owners, and individuals with services that will help them move forward on their quest for self-sustainability or employment.

HOW IT WORKS

Volunteers assist community members and organisations to access and navigate government and business structures and systems.
There are NO FEES but clients are encouraged to make donations if they are able to.

Community members can contact us via WhatsApp, Email, Facebook, or Phone to submit their request. Or complete this online form.

The request is investigated and evaluated. This is one of our greatest strengths, evaluating need, so that appropriate and effective solutions can be found.

Volunteers assist community members to do whatever is necessary to achieve their objective.

Thank you for helping me. If it wasn't for you I would have given up trying to get my UIF. There is food on the table tonight.
